    3" Graptoveria Debbie

    Product Details

Graptoveria 'Debbie' is a stunning, slow-growing hybrid succulent with powdery, lilac-pink to violet-blue leaves arranged in tight, 8-inch rosettes. It requires 6+ hours of bright sunlight to maintain its color and compact shape, preferring well-draining soil and "soak and dry" watering. This hardy, low-maintenance plant thrives in warm climates (zones 9b-11b) or as a bright-window houseplant.

    Key Care Guidelines
    • Light: Full sun to partial shade; needs bright, direct light (6+ hours) to prevent stretching.
    • Water: "Soak and dry" method—water thoroughly only when the soil is completely dry.
    • Soil: Requires, very well-draining succulent/cactus mix, ideally with 50-70% mineral grit like pumice or perlite.
    • Temperature: Not cold-hardy; protect from frost (below 20°F or -6.7°C).
    • Maintenance: Low-maintenance; rarely needs fertilizer, but can be fed in spring.
    Common Problems & Tip
    • Overwatering: Causes mushy, yellow, or translucent leaves, and root rot.
    • Lighting: Inadequate light causes the plant to become "stretchy" or leggy.
    • Appearance: Develops a white, powdery coating called farina (do not wash off).
    • Propagation: Easily propagated from leaves, stem cuttings, or offsets.
    • Bloom: Produces pinkish-orange, bell-shaped flowers in spring.

    Plant Care Tips

    Light
Place succulents where they get at least 6 hours of bright, indirect sunlight each day. A sunny windowsill is ideal.

    Watering
Let the soil dry out completely between waterings. Water deeply, then drain any excess. Overwatering is the most common cause of problems.

    Soil
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent soil mix. Good drainage keeps roots healthy.

    Containers
Choose pots with drainage holes. Avoid decorative pots without drainage unless you use them as covers.

    Temperature
Succulents prefer warm conditions. Keep them away from freezing temperatures and protect from drafts.

    Fertilizing
Feed lightly with a balanced, diluted fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). No need to fertilize in winter.

    Pruning & Propagation
Remove any dead leaves from the base to prevent pests. Many succulents can be propagated from leaf or stem cuttings.
